SimplePath vs Lovable
Lovable is the strongest of the chat to app builders. Describe a product and it builds a working application with authentication and a database behind it, then syncs the code to your GitHub repository. It is genuinely impressive engineering, aimed squarely at people shipping software. If what you need is a business website that brings in work, most of that power is machinery you will pay for and never touch.
When to choose Lovable instead
Pick Lovable if you are building a software product rather than a website. It goes further than we do on anything needing custom server code, and it hands you a repository with commit history you can host anywhere. If you are a business that needs the phone to ring, that is a lot of engineering pointed at a problem you do not have.

Checked against Lovable's own pricing page and documentation on 26 August 2026. Their price is the annual billing rate they advertise, which is usually cheaper than paying monthly. Features change, so check anything that would decide it for you.
Built for shipping software, not for getting hired
Lovable builds applications. We build business websites, with member accounts, a database and payments available the moment a site needs them. If you are shipping a SaaS product, we are the wrong tool and we will stay the wrong tool. But if you are a trade, a clinic or a local firm that needs to be found, quoted and called, an app builder hands you a development platform when what you wanted was customers.
Know what next month costs
Lovable sells a monthly credit allowance, so a busy week can exhaust it and the advertised price is a floor rather than a bill. Credits do roll over and top ups are available, so this is manageable if you are watching it. We charge a flat plan fee for hosting with nothing metered at all, and bill AI builds separately from a prepaid balance you top up when you choose. Once your site is built and live, the monthly cost is your plan and nothing else.
The gap is search, and it is a wide one
Lovable historically produced single page apps, which search engines struggle to read. Apps created since May 2026 use server rendering and older ones get prerendering for verified crawlers, so this is genuinely improving. Even so, sitemaps, canonical tags and submitting your site to Google are all jobs you do yourself, and there is no rank tracking and no recurring SEO check anywhere in the product. For us that entire layer is not a feature, it is the reason the product exists.
Settle it by looking at the work
Tables only get you so far. Have a concept of your site built free, with no card and no commitment, then put it next to whatever Lovable produces for the same business. That comparison is worth more than this whole page. Plans and what each one includes are on the pricing page.
