SimplePath vs Wix

Wix has been building websites since 2006 and does more, in total, than anything else here. Templates, an app market, email marketing, a full store with point of sale, support you can phone at any hour. If breadth is what you are shopping for, Wix wins and we will not pretend otherwise. The question worth asking is whether breadth is what gets your business found, because that is a different problem, and it is the one we built for.

When to choose Wix instead

Pick Wix if you need a point of sale for a physical counter, carrier calculated shipping rules, or email campaigns to a customer list. Those are substantial products and we do not have them. If you sell online without a shop floor, and your customers find you by searching rather than by browsing a catalogue, the trade runs the other way, and the rest of this page is about that.

Checked against Wix's own pricing page and documentation on 26 August 2026. Their price is the annual billing rate they advertise, which is usually cheaper than paying monthly. Features change, so check anything that would decide it for you.

Nobody has ever enjoyed picking a template

Wix gives you a gallery and an editor, with AI available for a first draft. We have no gallery at all. You describe your business in plain English and the entire site is generated for it, then you refine it by chatting or by editing the page directly. That is the difference between an afternoon of dragging boxes and a conversation. If you genuinely enjoy laying out pages, Wix is the more satisfying tool. Most business owners do not, and never wanted to.

Their SEO is a checklist. Ours turns up every day.

Wix has a well regarded SEO setup wizard and connects to Google Search Console. It is a good product, and it is largely something you complete once. SimplePath runs an AI SEO check every single day, scores your site out of 100 and shows the working, tracks your keyword positions against real Search Console data, separates branded searches from the non branded ones that actually bring new customers, audits your Google Business Profile weekly, and emails you a summary every Monday. One is a task you tick off. The other is somebody watching your search position while you get on with the job.

A price that stays where you left it

Both bills are flat, which is more than most AI builders can say. Worth knowing that Wix advertises annual rates, so paying month to month costs meaningfully more than the headline. With us the plan covers hosting and nothing is metered: no traffic charges, no compute, no surprises after a good month. Asking the AI to make a change draws from a prepaid balance, and editing by hand, right down to the HTML and CSS, is free and unlimited.

Settle it by looking at the work

Tables only get you so far. Have a concept of your site built free, with no card and no commitment, then put it next to whatever Wix produces for the same business. That comparison is worth more than this whole page. Plans and what each one includes are on the pricing page.
