How SimplePath compares

Most comparison pages are written so one product wins every row. This one tells you where the others are genuinely better, because you will find out anyway and we would rather you heard it here. Everything below is checked against each company's own pricing page and documentation as of 26 August 2026.

The short version: Wix does the most, Squarespace looks the best, and Lovable goes furthest if you are building software rather than a website. SimplePath is built around the thing the others treat as a settings page: actually getting your business found. Search visibility is not a checklist here, it is a product that runs every single day.

A filled circle means the feature is included. A half mark means it is limited, costs extra, or you build it yourself. A dash means it is not offered. Prices shown for other companies are the annual billing rates they advertise, which is usually cheaper than paying monthly.

Read the detail

Each comparison below goes further, including a straight answer on when to choose them instead of us.

Selling online, without the shop platform overhead

If you sell without a shop floor, this is refreshingly simple. Your site gets a product catalogue, Stripe checkout with the money landing in your own account, and flat rate delivery with Stripe collecting the delivery address for you. For a trade, a studio or a service business selling a defined set of things, that is the whole job done.

The part people do not expect: your catalogue is not a fixed feature you wait for us to extend. On the Grow plan your site has a real database behind it, so you can ask for what your business actually needs and have it built in. Stock levels you can see and update, a product manager you can work from your phone, variants and options, a low stock warning on the admin page. You describe it and it gets built around how you sell, rather than configured out of a template designed for somebody else.

What we genuinely do not have is a till. There is no point of sale for a physical counter, and no carrier calculated or zone based shipping rules. If you are running a shop with a queue at the register and pallets going out the back, Wix and Squarespace spent twenty years building exactly that and you should use them.

We also do not send marketing email. If campaigns to a customer list are central to how you sell, Wix includes that.

Both are deliberate. A small team can build one thing properly or five things adequately, and we would rather be the best answer for a business that needs to be found than a mediocre answer for everyone.

Newer, smaller, and moving considerably faster

Wix and Squarespace have been at this for twenty years, and there is real value in that. It also means twenty years of accumulated product decisions to work around. We started recently, which turns out to be an advantage in a year when how people search is changing faster than it has in a decade.

Being small is why your feedback lands with the person who writes the code, and why the answer is often days rather than a place in a queue behind millions of other sites. It is why the SEO tooling on this page exists at all: daily checks, real rank tracking, Google Business Profile audits and AI assistant readiness are not things a twenty year old platform retrofits quickly. We built for how search works now, because now is when we started.

Where all of that effort went instead

Getting found. A website nobody visits is an expensive business card, and every other builder here treats search as a panel you fill in once and forget. We run an AI SEO check every day, score your site out of 100 and show every component so you know exactly what to fix, track your keyword positions against real Google Search Console data, separate branded searches from the non branded ones that actually bring new customers, audit your Google Business Profile weekly, ship an llms.txt file so AI assistants can read your site properly, and on the Grow plan write and publish blog posts on a schedule without you lifting a finger.

None of that is an add on or a higher tier. It is what the product is.

The honest way to settle this is to look at the thing itself. Have a concept of your site built free, no card and no commitment, and compare it against whatever the others give you. Plans are on the pricing page.
