Products/Grow plan

A blog that writes itself, and waits for your approval.

Why a blog is worth having

A website with five pages can only answer five questions. Every blog post is another page that can turn up when somebody searches for something you actually do, which is why businesses that publish regularly get found more often than businesses that do not.

The reason most small businesses do not have a blog is not that they disagree with any of that. It is that writing takes time they do not have, on a day that is already full. This does the writing.

You choose the subjects

You add the themes you want to be known for, in your own words: looking after a roof through winter, choosing between two kinds of flooring, what a first visit is like. These are subjects, not one-off article titles, so each one gets written about again and again from a different angle. Nothing repeats itself, because it keeps track of what it has already covered.

If you are not sure where to start, it will read your site and suggest subjects your customers are likely to be searching for. You can accept them, change them, or ignore them and type your own.

Nothing goes up without you

By default, every post waits for you. You get an email when one is ready, you read it, and it goes on your site when you press the button. If a sentence is wrong you can fix it. If the whole thing missed the point you can say what to change and have it written again.

If you would rather not be involved at all, you can switch that off and have posts published as soon as they are written. It is your call, and you can change your mind at any time. You can edit or take down anything, whichever way you have it set.

It sounds like you, not like a robot

You set the tone, how long posts should be, and any rules you want followed: always mention the areas you cover, never talk about prices, whatever matters to you. You can also paste in something you have written yourself, an email to a customer works well, and it will match how you write.

It only uses what is already on your site for the facts. It is told not to invent prices, statistics, awards, or customer names, so it cannot put a claim in your mouth that you would not make yourself.

Built to be found

Each post becomes a real page on your own website, at your own web address, with the page title and description that search engines look for. Posts are added to the sitemap your site already submits to Google, grouped into categories, and linked to each other so a reader who finds one has somewhere to go next.

You can add your own photos to each subject, and posts will take it in turns to use them, so a run of articles on the same theme does not all look identical.

It fits the site you already have

The blog matches your site: same colours, same fonts, same menu. If your site already has a blog page, that page is used, so you keep the design you have. And because the blog pages are ordinary pages, you can restyle them in the editor or by chatting, the same as anything else.
