Secure sign-in, handled for you

Add member accounts to your site and let people sign in securely. Account creation, password resets, and session management are all handled for you. You never set up or maintain a server.

A real database

Member sites come with a real database, so information your site collects is saved properly instead of living in a single browser tab. This is what makes dashboards, member areas, booking systems, and data-driven apps possible rather than merely describable.

You never design a schema or write a query. You say what the site should remember and what people should be able to do with it, and the storage is built to match. If you already have the data in a spreadsheet, it can be imported rather than retyped.

You decide who gets in

Sign-up is closed by default, which is the setting most business sites want. You hand out logins yourself, one person at a time, and nobody who wanders onto the site can create an account. If you do want open registration, turning it on is a switch.

There are two kinds of account and the difference is worth knowing. Members sign in and use the site. Admins can also manage the site and the records belonging to other people, and you can appoint a small number of them, which covers a business where more than one person needs to be in charge.

Files that are not public

A site with sign-in usually needs somewhere private to put things: a price list for trade customers, documents for one particular client, photos that are not for everybody. Files can be marked public, members-only, or private, and the ones that are not public genuinely are not reachable without signing in.

Members can send files in as well as take them out, so a site can collect a document from somebody rather than asking them to email it and hoping it arrives.

Isolated and private

Each site runs in its own walled-off space with its own set of accounts, so one site can never reach the data belonging to another. A person who signs in to your site has an account with you, not a shared account across the platform.

Passwords are never stored in a form anybody can read, including us. Password resets are handled for you, and the reset email comes from an address kept separate from our own, so the sign-in on your site behaves like part of your site rather than part of ours.
