The brief

A small business wanted one place to keep its books: track income and expenses, send invoices, watch budgets, and see where the money actually goes. The usual options were a spreadsheet that gets messier every month or hiring a developer to build something custom.

Instead, the owner described the app to SimplePath in plain English, feature by feature, the same way you would brief a contractor. The AI asked follow-up questions and got to work.

What the AI built

A complete bookkeeping dashboard: income and expenses, invoices, a product list, budgets and forecasts, and reports with live charts. The layout, the navigation, the forms, and the charts were all generated from the conversation. No code was written by a human.

Under the hood

This is not a brochure site. Every figure on the dashboard is read from a real database when the page loads, not baked into the page: 1,200 invoices, more than 4,000 line items, and about eighteen months of expenses. The KPI cards, the charts, and the budget targets are all recalculated from those rows, so the headline numbers and the ledger behind them can never drift apart.

Visitors can browse the whole thing as a guest, with no account. Sign in with SimplePath managed accounts and anything you add is saved to your own account, which keeps the shared demo books intact for the next person. Sign-in, password resets, and data storage are all handled by SimplePath; the owner never touched a server.
